About The Project:

The Project Building Resilient Futures in the Philippines: Green Schools, Green Skills, and Sustainability is a three-year initiative led by Save the Children Philippines and generously funded by American Express. The project aims to address critical environmental challenges and promote sustainable development by providing adolescents aged 10-17 with essential green skills, improve the coping and adaptive capacities of schools and vulnerable communities to climate-induced disasters, and collaborating with local government and the Department of Education to advocate for long-term climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Needs of the Community:

  • Capacitated children and youth to cope with the adverse impacts of disasters and climate change
  • Capacitated schools and communities to cope and adapt to climate-induced disasters
  • Strategic partnerships and child-centered approaches to provide sustainable solutions to vulnerable communities
