CBM Directors visit children in Leyte

Save the Children hosted the visit of some top-level representatives from CBM in Typhoon Haiyan-hit Leyte province. CBM National Director Rainer Brockhaus, Regional Director Rainer Guetler, and Emergency Response Manager Ali Shah were able to visit two schools reached by our classroom rehabilitation efforts, with focus on ensuring access to quality and inclusive education.

In support of our Typhoon Haiyan response, CBM has provided us with financial support to rehabilitate a total of 60 classrooms in 4 different municipalities in Western Leyte. To ensure that these rehabilitated classrooms can easily be accessed by children with disabilities, the design of each classroom included a wheelchair ramp with handles.
